CONCEPTION OF "M B T" LIGHT
MBT .............Missabittatitti ............our Dragon Boat Paddling Team in Brisbane............... all of us Breast Cancer Survivors.
After meeting up with an old school friend early in 2008 who is an artist in New Zealand, this rekindled my long set aside interest in Ceramics.........
I had grandeur thoughts of having an "MBT" light made......
To be able to share something beautiful with all of the gorgeous women I have met through these circumstances and with whom i now share my life.
Over a year in the making and with the encouragement of many; my friend in NZ, the girls at Ceramics and the mould maker, who have all encouraged me to produce "our" light on my own.
This has now finally come to fruition Our Light! The MBT Light!
In the shape of a drum
patterns surrounding the base resembling waves
moving up to the rope that binds us
In the evening our light gives a warm glow
creating splashes of light
capturing the flicker of sunlight on water
patterns on walls reflecting dragon scales
..........magical..........
